John brings more than two decades of industry drug research and development experience to the role, most recently as VP of Cell Therapy Research and Foster City Site Head at Kite Pharma, a Gilead Sciences company, where he led the research infrastructure and strategic decision-making that advanced cell-based programs from discovery through IND-enabling work and into the clinic.

At Vitra Labs, John will lead the technology platform underpinning our in vitro maturation R&D, manufacturing development, and commercial readiness. We are building the first high-throughput platform to systematically optimize IVM - a phase that demands deep cell biology expertise paired with translational and process discipline. John brings both.
